Sony Says More PS One Games On PSN ‘Shortly’ - Blu-ray Forum

“Yes, we are working on further PSone additions to the PS Store and should see those launch shortly,” he said.

With that in mind, what PS One games do you want to re-buy? “Klonoa” and “Metal Gear Solid” would be very much appreciated, thanks!

3extreme was awesome, heck with 2extereme. btw..why didn't more of those games happen? anyways..give us gran turismo 2 already, forget about gran turismo psp, we all know that will never happen

I think that is a very astute observation as it would definately be cost effective for them as it would be pushed through a firmware update more than likley or the PSN Store.

This is in comparision to what they did with the MGS4 or Motorstorm where its not 100% compatibility. Sounds like the chip in the 60GB version cost too much money for them. This will definately be cost effective for them as well as make everyone happy.

Surely the PS3 is powerful enough to run some kind of PS2 emulator. It would be funny if someone came up with a 360 emulator for the PS3, people could play their 360 games without of RRoD then

its difficult to emulate unfortunately, but i have faith they'll get it done. it'd be in their best interest too because ps2 games will sell way better than ps1 games are

I know it's not a ps1 game, but I would really like to see ICO on the psn. I never got a chance to play it. I've played SOTC and I want to play ICO, but it's difficult as hell to find it in Gamestop. The Gamestop people have said it's failry sought after and they sell it for a decent price, even though its old as hell. Its listed on ebay usually for around $15-25.

Sony should capitlize on this and either release it as a greatest hits or on PSN.

The processor for the ps2 was awkward and unique many monster pcs have been brought down to there knees trying to emulate a ps2 game.

Personally my computer gets .5 fps on the title scene with no geometry being rendered...

I'm still waiting for practicly all of the MGS games from the PS1 and 2 days to come out. I'm suprised that no one has mentioned that yet.

Oh, and the Gran Turismo games.

I didn't realise the PS2 was so difficult to emulate (although if memory serves it does have the emotion chip which is a specific thing for the PS2), so it's understandable why one hasn't come up.

And I'm guessing this is the reason why Sony is in no rush to add PS2 compatibility to the PS3. There's much more profit to be had selling PS2's and games than just selling the games. I still use my PS2 for playing PS2 games even though the PS3 will play (some of) them perfectly well.

I ve just donwload Xenogears and Font mission 1st from japanese store,
those are in my top favorite list!

hope we will get sometine a so-called.. what was it again? final fantasy 7?

Personally I preferred the side scroll version of front mission sadly that is rare and hard to find.

I still have those PS1 discs (and FF8 & FF9). Thought about playing it again after all these years but might not be able to get past the PS1 graphics on my fair sized TV. I'm still hoping they remake it for PS3 (probably not going to happen but I can hope
