Hynix develops world's fastest graphic DRAM

혻 혻 SEOUL, Nov. 23 (Yonhap) -- Hynix Semiconductor Inc., the world's No. 2 memory chip maker, said Sunday it has developed a new powerful DRAM tailored for high-powered graphic cards in computers and video game consoles.

The 1-gigabit GDDR chip, which has the world's fastest 7-gigabit-per-second processing speed, can run on a relatively small power of 1.35 volts and is suitable for use in heavy graphics on computers and video game systems, Hynix said in a statement.
