Default Does Europe have big Christmas sales too?

I'm not seeing many blu-ray sales in Europe.

Do they typically have many? When do they usually start?

Yes but like after Christmas. Boxing day until after new year. This year sales are starting early though cause of the current economic situation.

As was said above, we don't usually get them until after Christmas. Boxing day sales are a pretty big thing here. Sometimes you can pick up some bargains but I've never really found that much.

Haven't found any black Friday sales in Europe, but both Play and Amazon UK have a lot of 3 for 2 deals going on.

And Play have a nice downward curve on theire prices.

For your information, we don't use terms such as "Black Friday" or "Boxing day".
We just say new year's sales and that takes place in January and lasts a month.

I work at saturn. (www.saturn.at). Which is part of the second largest Electronics Chain in the world and I can tell you that we have a lot of stuff planned. I can't say much more because if someone else from my company might check this site my occupation will change to unemployed pretty quickly.

I'm debating whether to ask for a few imports for christmas. At this point, I have all the domestic disc I want that have been released. Just don't know if I should ask now or wait and use my own money later.

It doesn't really make sense to have Christmas sales. After all, it's a time where people normally spend a lot of money. Makes more sense to have a January sale where most people have overspent a little.

We have them after christmas as others have said but in the case of BD we have had them since BD was released in the UK LoL (I have always seen an offer of some sort be it 3 for 2, half price or buy 1 get 1 free).

Very few "real" sales so far on Blu-Ray. Major chain stores are doing "buy 2 get 3rd free", but they've mostly inflated the prices of the titles within the offer to balance it out.
HMV is offering "2 for £30" on the highstreet, but again, mostly older titles that can be had cheaper online.
In the UK, the only place to get cheap Blu on the highstreet is to keep an eye on the pre-owned stuff in Blockbuster or other trade-in stores.
