Welcome to Blu-ray! I think that it will be a perfect way for you to start your home theater experience. You can read more about that particular setup here (if you haven't already):

I think that depends on your room size, your budget, and overall what you're looking for. That said, this is a great way to dip your toe into lossless sound and having a home theater. Just be aware you may want to upgrade in the future. The RM6750 is a great set for the money.

thats definitely a good starting point.

You can always keep those speakers as surrounds later on when you decide to upgrade the fronts, center and possibly the subwoofer.

But overall, you will be happy with the purchase.

Great sound for the money. Best buy is having a two day sale, today and tomorrow. Buy the polk speaker package and get the psw10 free.

I just got onkyo 606 and polks rm6750 and finished installing yesterday. My first HT and I wasn't expecting much for that much $$$$. But wow, what a great sound, my father was suprised how great they sound for $200 and his 2 front speakers only cost $2000, nevermind the rest. It's really awsome ht for the price. I bought 606 at accesories for less for $289 and polks on ebay for $192.

After reading this thread, it made me email onkyo to cancel 7100. Once this cancellation goes through, I'll definitely be getting the 606 and polk rm6570.

I'm about to buy one off Amazon in a week or two, currently selling for $320. Is yours new or refurbished?

hey all! I actually just purchased this combo tonight! I am new to home a/v [recovering car audiophile] so I wanted something decent that wouldnt break the bank. These will be complementing my newly purchased Samsung LN46A650 and BD-P1500. My only question is the wiring set-up...just want to confirm that all I will need to get this quickly set up will be some 16 gauge wire, banana clips, and Y RCA connector. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks and glad to be here to learn from you all!

I have the Polk RM6750 5.1 set and my advise is to upgrade the sub to the PSW10. I just upgraded for $99 at Best Buy's Black Friday deal and am very happy overall with the sound. The PSW10 can handle effects like explosions etc. so much better than the 8" sub that seems to just flatten out.
