Is anyone able to take side by side comparisons photos of Sweeney Todd from a Blu-ray and an upscaled DVD?
Reason being, I was watching the upscaled DVD with my dad (a potential Blu-Ray buyer), and it was hurting the situation! Another-words...it looked fantastic. Likely because of the type of film shot, etc. This thread will fail without pictures. I have no way to take them. I really should learn how to take pictures of my HDTV with my Nikon D40. It's really hard! |

DVDFile wasn't very high on the DVD, but really enjoyed the Blu-ray. Also, remind your father that the video is only half the movie.

That won't help you...you need a means of capturing screenshots directly from the disc. There are too many variables when taking pictures of a TV with a camera...you'll almost never get an accurate representation of the image by simply shooting the screen with a DSLR.

I netflixed Todd.
But,... no way I would consider watching a DVD of something that's out on Blu Ray.... no point in that. -Brian ps. Nice choice of the Nikon D40, that's what I have too... it doesn't have all the megapixels of most current models but it's a hell of a great camera. Last edited by bhampton; 12-02-2008 at 02:24 PM. |

It looks like it is a comparison. If you roll over the image it changes from what looks like an SD image to an HD image.
