Clone Wars question - Blu-ray Forum

This may have been answered before...

Anyways...on the STar Wars Clone Wars blu that was just recently released...the back says the the audio Dolby TrueHD English 5.1 EX.....my question is..when you go to the setup audio part of the blu...there is nothing that says 'EX'

Am I missing something?

Would that not be done automatically if that is the audio codec it was encoded with?

I dont know enough about the subject to answer that.

I just figured since the back of the box says "EX"....wouldnt that show up as an option in the audio settings?

I think you just are supposed to turn on EX if they didn't actually flag the soundtrack for Surround EX (which I don't know if they can for Dolby TrueHD).

The EX is for the core of the track and not the lossless part. If you bitstream it out optical then you will get the EX track,but in the lossy DD format.
