Well, your best bet is either the Panasonic TH-42PX80U(720p). Can be had for about $700 right now. The TH-42PZ80U(1080p) can be had for about $900. Those are your best bets for that screen size.

I'm all for helping people out but... this is about as vague as I'm going to buy a new car what one should i buy. I want one with 4 tires, and a good price.

At least 40" only makes about a million choices. Then add in plasma, dlp, lcd, lcos, etc.

Plus everyone's definition of reasonable is different. To someone making 30k a year 1000 bucks, someone making 300k might be a little higher.

This is about the 7th post like this here on this board, where someone wants help but doesnt help themselves.

Sorry if I offended you but such an open ended question gets such an unexpected answer.

PS hmmmm lets ask Mrs. Cleo....... hmmmm im getting 60 inch mitsubishi 1080p DLP for 1300 dollars.

I just bought the Samsung LN46A650 (46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color) for about $1450 on Amazon.com. It came with a FREE Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray Player. Absolutely love the TV so far. Check it out at your local Best Buy...

OOOHHHHH i get it rolling on the floor laughing... you kids and your smilies. Yes it may have been 8 hours but i only get to my computer once a day. I was not aware there was somone keeping time on these here forums. I am aware of the time stamp but did not realize there was a specific time frame to which some responces could not be made?
