Exclamation need car audio help!

i just spent $2500 on a new system for my Xterra and i'm disappointed. it doesn't hit very hard. i also thought the bass would sound tighter. this is what i have.

Pioneer AVIC-F700BT
Rockford Fosgate P3 Punch, 12"
Kicker 500 watt amp
Kicker 6.5" in rear
Kicker DS680 6"x8"

do i need a bigger amp or what?

any help. thanks.

Check the gain on the amp as well as the phase control and x-over cuttoff. Set the cuttoff to 60 hz. Is your sub(s) forward facing or towards the rear ???

Also if you have two subs, what kind of box are they in ??? Sometimes boxes do not have dividers in them and you have to wire the speakers out of phase.

.......... and depending on which amp you have, the ohm rating of your sub(s) and whether they are dual voice coil or not. You very well could have some wiring options and be able to get the most power out of your amp.
