Default Speaker Wattage

Hey All,

Wondering about something .. my Sony System (HT-DDW900) has 5 speakers 145 watts each and the receiver accepts Front B. I was thinking of adding additional front speakers, is it ok to go with something under 145 watts? Someone told me the speakers might get damaged. Is it true?

It would simply be better to upgrade your whole system but yes, you can go lower wattage.
