Default Christmas Decorations Almost Complete!

Well, I put all three trees. Two yesterday and finished one up today. One is a 6' vintage Evergleam Aluminum Christmas tree. This thing is sweet! Had it for several years, just never had the chance to set it up due to the renovations. Another is an all white Barrington Deluxe Frasier Fir. Very beautiful. I know some might be thinking, a white tree??? However, if you had one you would be like - where have these things been! The last tree was a regular green Barrington Deluxe Frasier Fir. All are 7 1/2 feet tall, Pre-Lit and ready to go. Just put together and fluff! A lot of people don't fluff right. Wind up with weird looking trees.

I have wreaths on the doors outside, lighted garland on the banister outside, two 4 1/2 foot tall "potted" trees downstairs on each side of the fireplace, lit and again are magnificent. Garland between the dining and living room, white garland over the door to the sunroom that houses the white tree. The green tree is in the living room. Finally, the vintage tree is downstairs.

I still have to get the ornaments on. The white tree is going to have silver, clear, white and brown ornaments. It will also have Waterford crystal ornaments as well to give that "sparkle" I love. The green tree is going to be more traditional. All ornaments are hand made from Germany, Poland or the like.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS! Yes, if you have not figured it out already, it's what I live for come the holidays. I love wrapping, shopping, decorating and the music. I love it all!

I will post some pics in a few.

Awesome. I love a nicely decorated tree or three!!

What do your cats think of your trees? Our three older cats are pretty cool with ours now but our kitten, Jack, has the type of temprament that will probably see me having to "lash" our tree to a nearby armoir.

The cats (the new ones anyways) are doing surprisingly well. I have only had to tell them a couple times to leave them alone. So far, they just lay under them. The older cats that have been through a Christmas or two, leave them alone. I have only seen it a couple of times, but one of the new ones was chewing on a light. A big NO NO. I quickly remedied that with a verbal assault. The next wave will be a squirt of water. However, so far there has not been a need for it.

I think they enjoy the heat of the lights and the "security" of being under them provides. Really cool to go look at the trees only to see a couple cats nestled in the tree skirt under the tree. Love it!

Lol, does your cat climb it?

No. There are some companies making them now - however they are nothing like what they were. They are making them look too "real". There is only one and they are on ebay I believe. You are better off getting a vintage tree. Picked mine up for $99 two years ago. Got it for a STEAL! They usually run triple that.

We haven't had a Christmas tree in years. Yesterday, I cut one down on the property, put it in a 5 gallon bucket with stones and water and hung parrot toys from it. The guys are still a little freaked out.

Thank you! Turned out better than I hoped. That garland is 12' long and I thought it would be too big. Turned out perfect!

Just going to bed now.....I was up all night setting up our decorations.....Yea, yea, I know what you're thinking.....that we tend to over do it. But the looks on the kids faces makes it all worthwhile.

I put up our outside decorations on Friday. We're putting up our tree tonight. It's a shame we have to keep our tree in a closed-off room (though it's in the window at the front of the house) because of my male cat. He just won't stop chewing wires (on EVERYTHING) or the tree itself.

I'll be sure to get pictures up soon.
