Sony VGNFW280J/H, thinking of buying one? - Blu-ray Forum

I am thinking about buying this laptop, and was looking for some opinions and feedback from anyone who might own one. Any advise on Vaio experience in general would be appreciated. Thanks

sony's are good machines but are overpriced. You can get alot more machine with a dell for the same price.

If I had the money, I would buy an AW Series.
FWs are great machines as well.
I have two(2) AR Series - both Blu-ray enabled.
I also have two other VAIOs that are a bit before Blu-ray's time.

I work for CDW, so I can get this notebook at cost, roughly $1190, so it is pretty good deal. I just have never owned a Vaio so I am looking for so feedback from people who have.

I own two Blu-Ray Vaios and really like them. I actually have the FW290JRB right now and it's nice only two complaints are font size is much smaller (even though screen is bigger) than my FZ485 and the picture quality doesn't seem as nice (tried two FW's). Haven't had any major issues thus far with any of them.

Since you're asking in general, I have a lot of experience with Sony VAIOs... they're my preferred brand laptop. They are very high quality. I currently own a TZ240N/B (11.1") that I'm trying to sell because I wanna get a CTO VAIO with blu-ray capabilities...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially at that great price.
