Blu Ray movies butt BAD qualityy?? why? - Blu-ray Forum

hello guys.. so i have 47 inch lg 1080p tv and i use my ps3 which is connected Via HDMI cable.. now i got a lot of blu ray movies.. but for some reason.. THEY DONT LOOK all that great... like transformers some parts are ok and the desert sand fight WAS AWSOME quality.. Lot of my other movies like oceans collection and 300 THEY are Really bad quality.. through out the whole movie there are like blury pixels.. i dont kno how to explain it properly.. like U can see them best in dark scences the pixels are like bluryy why is that happening?? how come its not showing good quality>> anythign i need to do

The ocean's series has a lot of noise, especially 13 which made it look only okay and 300 is very grainy (director's choice) but I think it still looks solid.

its not only that dough.. all my movie has that Fuzzy pixel all over the screen it looks liek its DVD.. what is the best mothode of settin up the tv and wires for best quality

some blurays are more grainy than others, and the picture quality varies by movie as well. not everything is going to blow you out of the water, but nearly all blurays look at the very least somewhat better than their dvd counterparts. there probably isn't anything you need to do except not try to stress out too much about it

did you set the resolution on the PS3 menu to 1080p? i think its under system, and display. select "automatic" and it should determine the max resolution of your TV, otherwise it may be just sending 480 to the TV.

yup its set to auto at 1080. but its just im dissapointed .. spent a lot of money but not gettin the satisfaction.. do u think if i get a standalone blu ray player it will improve?

What kind of tv do you brand and model number??? It's not the ps3 trust me on that the ps3 is nothing less than a quality player...

YES thats the Problemm im havin his picture shot is just like mine..tats exactly what i see. im trying to go through my tv settings but i cant figure out were tat option is

Did you try my link? Turn your sharpness all the way down and calibrate your TV.
