But those may not work if you use them on your European account or at least I don't think they do.

I'm in Canada and we don't have PSN cards either. I basically bought one in the US , created a new account for US only and I used it there. It's a "small" hastle but it works. I was able to buy / use on main account Rock band tracks, expansion pack for super stardust.
