Default Looking for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in Amaray case??

Is there a blu ray version of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory that's not a book?

I hope they will release one with the standard blu ray case. Do you think they will?

They might but it might be a year, a couple of years, a few months, or even 5 years from now. Like there still isn't just a Blu-ray case for the original Matrix, the Batman 1989 movie, and some others that have gone 1st with Digi-book. (Well ok in those movies I mentioned they 1st came out as a boxset then as a Digi-book afterwards but just saying it will be a long while before we see Willy Wonka as a non digi-book).

Probably at some point. And before you ask, no we don't know when.

The Digibook is awesome. I suggest you just buy it.

The one for Burton's Batman is cool also. I hope they do more of these Digibooks.

When you're watching the actual movie, just pretend it comes in a regular BD case.

I wouldn't want one digi-book and 100 normal case movies. Kind of silly to me because I want the movie not a book that the kids will rip up.

Your kids have a habit of ripping up your belongings?

This is why they invented the switch.

You know there are websites that you can download cover arts for movies, video games, and so on like www.cdcovers.cc so just print out one of those for Willy Wonka when 1 becomes available and get a normal, blank Blu-ray case and you're all set.

Though I have to agree with the others that Digi-Books are awesome. Would you really want to wait till a non Digi-Book version comes out which we don't even know when that will be?

I just can't see how a blu ray can be safe in a book.

I'll probably do a custom cover or something.

Why would it not be safe. Discs are scratch resistant, and the disc is held on a plastic tray (similar to a blu ray case). You need to try to damage it (in which case, the regular bluray case won't prevent damage either).

I have an issue with any packaging for CD/DVD/BD where you slide a disc into a cardboard enveloppe. Just asking for scratches. But digibooks aren't like that...

It's as safe as a disc in a case, I don't see the problem, here.

Do you actually know what a digibook looks like? It's pretty sturdy (in fact, I'd say sturdier than a plastic case) and there is a hub for the disc like any other case.

I was also a little reluctant when I bought my first Digi-book. And unlike Macruz19 who seems to search them out , I did not see what was so special. However, I just bought Silverado as a digibook for my dad, and was rather pleased. It reminded me of the additional photos/books you get with movies like Casablanca or Wizard of Oz. Though not nearly as involved or detailed as the two I listed. It was still nice to see some of the photos, read about the movie and what not.
The book is really quite secure, it doesn't flop open or anything if you just lay it down. I would happily buy another digi-book :-D
