How's the transfair?

I know it's slim on extras but its cheap as chips on amazon.

Is there any hint at a new remaster in the pipeline or 4k?

Wow, this thread only had one post in it before it was revived. What happened to the film's cult status?

It's 45th anniversary was this year and nothing released (last was 40th anniversary edition in 2011). So we could see a 50th anniversary edition in 2021 assuming physical disks still exist then for mainstream titles.

They also did not take the opportunity for a tie in to the London musical, but they missed their chance as that closes soon.

I have a horrible feeling that a lot of people now probably only really know of the Burton/Depp version.

I hope not. The Willy Wonka version is so much better, even if Roald Dahl didn't approve of the decisions they made with the film.
