Copy blu ray movie to standard DVD - Blu-ray Forum

I have numerous blu ray movies that I play with no problem at home as I just bought a Panasonic BD55. The problem is that some of my friend do not have a blu ray player and I cannot bring these or any of the good blu ray movies with me. Is there a way to copy a blu ray movie onto a standard DVD that will allow non blu ray players the ability to play them.

It's against the law in the US to crack copy protection.
