Default Sony needs to do something about trailers

Disney take the piss on trailers. Even if you skip them it takes about 1 minute of messing around pressing R1.

All the discs which load special menu's lose their restart point.

I would rather have my PS3 save a file so that when i've viewed the trailers I don't need to view them again. I don't mind watching them once. But the top menu needs to be accessed after the first viewing.

I do admit though, the Disney blu ray trailer is my favourite, I just don't want to be forced to view it everytime.

I hate the disc that start up with trailers especially Disney because they load the trailers then they have to load the menu, takes too long. I wish they put the trailers in the bonus features so I can watch them where I want. However, I do like to see what upcoming movies will look like on Blu like Pinocchio.

You are able to skip the trailers on disney movies. I use a PS3 and you have to press the "top menu" button on the remote and it skips right on through them to the main menu. So if your using a PS3 and pressing "pop up menu" that might be your problem.

Takes about 10 seconds on a PS3

To me trailers are like commercials. IT should work the same was as it does with TV. IF you force me to watch trailers, then the movie should be free. Just like regular TV is free because the networks sell the commercials.

Let me easily skip them, or give me free or cheaper priced Blu-rays and DVd's.

So what's this got to do with Sony?

Good idea, except cable TV has commercials too. So, they'll will justify it by saying that consumers pay for commercials too.

Sony PS3 is made by Sony and it has a Hard Drive. Therefore they can firmware its ass to bypass this stuff once you already watched it.

I wouldn't mind one or two trailers. But 7 plus blu ray promotions is not right.

As for the pop up menu, it is disabled because it has to load on some discs. It doesn't load on Caspian until the mouse comes up. Unless i'm doing it wrong.

You're reasoning is quite sound, I just don't see it happening, unfortunately.

can you imagine how much BDs would cost without advertising? i don't want to imagine so i sacrifice the 5-10 seconds it takes to skip them

your comparison is flawed as commercials take up 8 minutes out of a tv show throughout the entire show. i can see if every 20-30 minutes a commercial popped up, then yeah we have a problem.

ah, and last i checked "regular tv" costs money unless of course you steal your cable/satellite...am i missing something here? or do you live in a magical city that gives away free cable?

Great. People complain when it takes too long to start movies like in Disney's case - people complain when the movie starts immediately like in Warner's case...people complain, period.

^---I'm turning into a mild version of Sky_Captain ()

Be happy! One minute out of your life - is it really worth being aggravated over??

I don't mind if a movie starts straight away. I Don't mind trailers either, but lets have some middle ground.

I'll try the top menu again when I Wake up. I'm sure it doesn't work.
