Default Who wants to see more trailers?

I sure do. I think watching trailers is just part of the whole experience. Trailers+Food(Popcorn/Candy)+Feature Film = Experience. Well, that and 1080P resolution coupled with lossless audio matrixed to 7.1 of course

Trailers get me ready for the movie, when I pop in a BD and it goes right to the menu it's almost dissapointing in a sense. Plus trailers are usually the best quality part of the disc! Anyone else feel the same way?

In a cinema, they are fine. Lets the late sods find a seat and not ruin the film and lets me see some gems that may not of been on my radar.

At home, no way. Seen most of the films, so why watch the trailer.

I despise when they put trailers at the beginning of a Blu-ray. I've already paid $20+ for a movie, I shouldn't have to sit through advertising. With the slower loading times with Blu-ray I get impatient, and then if I have to press the chapter skip button 8 times I get downright annoyed, especially when pushing the menu button doesn't work to skip the previews. In the theater I have no problem with trailers though.

same here, if they want to put trailers on the disk thats fine but put it there as an option to watch them and not so that they automatically start before the movie and then not allow you to go straight to the main menu, that pisses me off more than anything

Not a fan of trailers on home video or theaters.
If I do watch a trailer, and I very rarely do, I just got to Apple's site.

I don't mind the trailers so long as they are part of the special features or skippable. Having the movie start straight away is one of the only things that Warner Bros. has done right.

Put the trailers in the special features so I don't even have to skip them and we're in total agreement.

I hate that you are forced to watch the trailers and ads before getting to the menu. Watching the trailers works while at the movies becasue they usually advertise future movies or movies that are currently out. I don't want to sit at home watching trailers for movies I've already seen.

It would be a neat feature to have BD-Live trailers play before the movie. That way the trailers can be the most recent ones, thus making it more exciting. And I wish they would apply the same to their advertisements. I hate sitting there watching an ad for "upcomming releases" at the time when it was released years ago! That's stupid!

Lionsgate films should be your favorite then- they each have like 7 or more trailers.

I want them to be either skippable or part of the special features as well. It's ok the first time you pop in a new disc to see new trailers, but when I pop in some movie and it shows "Coming soon" to a flick that's been out for 3 years, I'm not so interested in it.

Lionsgate are....but not for that reason, 7.1 PCM or DTS-HD MA on almost every title...THATS why they are #1 in my books. Rambo, War, 3:10 to Yuma, Transporter 3 = Excellent stuff gentlemen!

P.S. The trailer for Punisher Warzone looks awful (PQ) all the others are fantastic!

Agreed, although Warner defeats the point of going straight to the movie by defaulting to regular Dolby audio rather than Dolby HD so I still have to change that.

I like trailers because they are promotions for upcoming movies and BDs. In theaters, it's good to get an idea what might be good to catch later. For the home, I still like to have them but as supplements so I can watch it at my leisure. Don't care for the anti-piracy promos that you can't skip or ignore.

+1

That's why I love Universal's Blu's! It brings you to the main menu right away with that cool sound effect!!

Paramount isn't bad either. For sound effects I like on the FOX BD's right before the movie starts it shows the logo and then flashes a blu-ray symbol as well.

I'd rather have 1 of 2 options. Either a menu at the beginning of the disc that states 1) Trailers 2) movie menu

Or

Just have the trailers as an option in the movie menu.

What Disney does is just not right.

I love watching trailers before a movie at the theaters. If I miss 'em I feel I've missed half the movie.

When it comes to watching trailers before a movie on BD/DVD, I despise them!
