With Honda pulling out sponsorship from both f-1 racing and super bike. Subaru i heard has pulled all resources from WRC. And of course the big one in this country which i know die hard Nascar fans refuse to except, but it's just a matter of days before we hear Gm,ford and dodge doing the same in Nascar. I wonder how all forms of motor sports will remain.
All of these racing leagues have grown far to big to only rely on fan revenue from ticket and merchandise sales to keep it alive. So i wonder how long before we here that Nascar or other major motor sports leagues suspend their operations due to a impending recession. I cant see any of the big 3 who are asking to be saved by tax payer funding, be able to cut checks for millions upon millions of dollars to keep teams afloat so a car can run around in circles. |
