Default Cable Needs Request

Hi,

I'm trying to get everthing together to set up my new system the week after Christmas. I've taken a couple of days off work and would like to have all of the stuff I need before I start. I live in a small town, so running to the store for more cables is going to interrupt the day.

I'm going with the recommended HT Virgin setup. Here's what I'll have:

Samsung LN46A550 LCD Television
DirectTV HD DVR
Sony S550 blu-ray player
Onkyo SR606 receiver
Polk Audio RM 6759 speakers
APC BR1500LCD power supply

I'm planning on ordering 100' of 14 ga speaker wire from monoprice.

What else am I going to need? How many HDMI cables? Anything else?

Your help would be appreciated.

Joe

you need at least 3 HDMI cables...

blu-ray to receiver...
cable box to receiver...
receiver to tv...

Yeah you need a RCA male male cable to connect subwoofer to receiver.
And IMO 14 ga speaker wire is a bit small. But too late, and it will do just fine.
I just want to make sure that you'll have enough with 100'. Is this a big room ?
You should be good with all that.

Thanks for the heads-up on the subwoofer cable, and you're probably right, 100 ft. sounded like a lot when I ordered it, but it doesn't after thinking about my room size. I'll take some measurements.
