OK, first time setting up an new TV with speakers/Bluray/etc.
i have two questions. Is a Digital Audio Cable and a S/PDIF cable the same thing? And if I have one Digital Audio output from my tv and I want a cable to go to the Speaker Bar and the Motorized Wall Mount can I purchase a Splitter that sets up the one TV cable to a "Y" and then one each to Wall Mount and Speaker box? Thanks in advance. |

Sure thing, my error in not giving all info.
My TV Samsung LN40B630 :http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/t...ype=prd_detail Wall Mount: http://www.vizio.com/vmt40-55m.html Samsung HT-WS1R Speaker Box: http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/t...ype=prd_detail I understand this may not be the best Speaker setup but we needed to save space. The Wall Mount will tilt down when the TV is turned on and tilt back when shut off. The Speaker bar will do the same thing. Just thinking about this, if there is not enough "light/power" when the speaker bar is in use, teh Wall Mount may tilt back thinking the TV is off. I see some "y" Splitters at Monoprice and some say good things and others not so good. Thanks again. |

im not certain as to how the wall mount placement falls in to this equation. nor am i sure if ever its related to the question.
nonetheless, what i can consider is that you may want to use the coax option instead of toslinks, considering how a subtle crimp causes a loss in signal. all in all, monoprice has quality components and a solid customer service to back em up. i also use bluejeanscable as my personal preference. you spend once, and you spend it enough to not replace it anymore. thats my two cents. |
