Band of Brothers on Bluray? - Blu-ray Forum

One post in the AVS forums said that an HD-DVD of Band of Brothers would probably be out by years end. But any word on if it will hit Blu-ray any time soon? Cause this is one of the best mini-series ever, and it was shot in HD too, I think.

Right now the release date is pending on this title, but is slated for blu-ray.

From the Earth to the Moon is not as good as Band of Brothers - not by a long shot. I can't wait to own Band of Brothers in HD... I'll have to decide if I want to upgrade my From the Earth to the Moon DVD.

i'm going to be broke if these must have titles keep coming. how much will this run? sopranos was $80 for half a season?!?!? how much will this run? the regular dvd version set me back $70 I believe. doesn't matter, i'll still get it. I will watch that, saving private ryan when it comes out, the great raid, pearl harbor, and the battle of the bulge all in the same caffeine fueled sleepless weekend. it will be awesome.

About The Sopranos, missing one episode from the traditional season, does not make it half a season. The clever marketing at HBO a) makes you feel like the 7th season isn't short and b) (from what I heard) is labeled in such a way to renegotiate contracts and not have to pay actors for a 'new' season. Also, the DVDs of this show usually run around 60-65 new, so a 20 premium isn't too bad.

I always have to watch these type of movies when the wife is out. I have seen 4 or 5 of the ten episode Band of Brothers. If they would have them on at a regular time slot then I'd catch them all or at least record them for later. The ones that I have seen are excellent.

I reffered to the sopranos set as 1 season because that's how it was advertized. I will buy B.O.B. I just hope that they don't mark it up to high above the dvd set's original price.

I would definatly buy this, I cherished my dvd tin boxeset.. but it would look amazing in HD.

It's rewatch score is high aswell.

Great value for the money, whatever the cost may be!
