Deathrace being in the list at all completely invalidates it.

There is nothing else to say, other than the fact that putting Deathrace in there is a Uwe Boll style Epic Fail.

Wow. King doesn't even try anymore.

Sure, The Dark Knight and Wall-E are great, but Deathrace? Lakeview Terrace? The Bank Job?

I don't really think that those movies really qualify as the best of 2008.

With the exception of Tropic Thunder, WALL-E and The Dark Knight, Stephen King has some REALLY BAD taste in movies.

It's Stephen King, I mean c'mon look at movie adaptations of his books... plus he is getting old!

Btw, I enjoyed Death Race for what it was, nothing more, nothing less. A one-time watch.

I enjoyed Death Race too but I would not put it on my top 10 list. I would have expected Hell Boy II on King's list.

It's Stephen King. What do you expect. Those are probably the only movies he's seen this year, anyway.

I really hate those lists with 1 entry per page... takes forever to see them all. Anyway, there are some good titles on the list. Of course it's not a perfect list, because it's his opinion. We all have them.

Redbelt was an awful flick. I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai and was very excited for it too. It was all over the place... and a guy

i think people are being too harsh on stephen's list. remember he did say "Let's start with a confession: I'm not trustworthy when it comes to movies. I'm two-minded about them." at the very beginning of his list. so he's already admitting that he's not the go to guy when it comes to things like this. he likes what he likes. i don't think we should tar and feather him for it. i'm sure a lot of people best movies of 2008 list would include some that most might think are real stinkers. each person's tastes are different. not everyone is going to agree. such is the way of life.

Wow what a shitty list, at least he added Slumdog I will give him props for that. But being the "master of horror" you would think Let The Right One In and Fear(s) Of The Dark would be in there...
