Default Just bought the 50pz85u but I have some questions

Hello,

I've been up and down the forums both here and at avsforums and I finally took the plunge and bought the 85u. This is my first HDTV and I got it for $1399 and wanted to know if I paid too much? I have 30 days to get the difference if I find it cheaper elsewhere. My budget was limited and after reading every post regarding the 85u that I could find, made what I felt was an educated purchase.

I'll be receiving it Saturday and plan on going through the break-in process though not by means of the SD card or a looping DVD. I plan on making sure everything is zoomed in, will refrain from playing games with static huds and so on. Will that be sufficient?

Also, I've read many posts about how Panasonic's tend to be limited in terms of what changes can be made in the service menu. I can't remember who, but someone put me at ease by stating that if you find a good calibrator they won't complain about the limitations, rather they'll make sure the TV looks the best that it can. Can anyone point me to such a calibrator in the Southern California area? Near Los Angeles if possible

I apologize up front if my questions may have been answered. I'm new to this HDTV stuff
