Default Panasonic Firmware Update Question

Hello. Newbie blu-ray player owner here (purchased the end of Nov). I checked my firmware on my BD-55 yesterday and it flashed a "1.1" on the screen. So I see here there is a V1.6 upgrade for this model. I download & burn the update on a CD-R just as the instructions on this site state, but when I put the CD-R in the player and turned it on, it gave me a message of "UNSUPPORT" which means it thinks it has the latest firmware. I'm confused. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Try burning it at the lowest speed your burner supports...

Did you extract the EXE. the file you must burn in a .FRM and NOT the .EXE.

I use a CD-RW for my firmware flash.

Note : Vista Burn DO NOT WORK. You need a proper burning software in this OS.

I did extract the EXE file, but I burned it through Vista. Should I try to burn it through XP instead?

You can get the Vista CD burn to work if you setup for Mastered format prior to the burn.
