Default Iron Man 2 Rumors (POSSIBLE SPOILERS): Howard Stark, Hawkeye & Black Widow

Latino Review (which generally reports most rumors pretty accurately) has posted an interesting article claiming Tim Robbins (Shawshank Redemption) has likely been cast as Tony Stark's dad in a flashback sequence, in addition to reporting that Hawkeye and Black Widow--as Tony Stark's love interest--will make more than just cameos in the next Iron Man movie. Seeing as how the script is in the process of being written, I see no immediate reason to doubt these rumors until someone involved in the movie officially debunks them (i.e. not saying they're 100% true, but not saying they're completely false yet either)

I hope they don't try to squeeze a bunch of characters into the movie.

well the avengers have had many many members but the originals were hulk, thor, iron man, ant man and wasp. I think by the second issue cap america was part of the team and hulk leaves.

the roster changed a lot after a while.

They don't need more superheroes in the next film. They should flesh out Iron Man and War Machine and that should be enough.

Both Hawkeye and Black Widow started as Iron Man villains in the comics.

Just rented Mummy 3, and I sympathize with Jon Favreau:
"They beat me to it: That one had the Mandarin AND Fin Fang Foom in it!"

But I've said this before: Since The Mummy franchise has clearly past its prime and since the third installment was completely superfluous and a bomb, would anyone watch an Iron Man movie with Mandarin and Fin Fang Foom and seriously think, "Hey, this is ripping off Mummy 3!" The two are in a different league completely! I say go for it anyway, Favreau! Mummy can't hold a candle to the Iron Man franchise!
