Yup. Will continue to spin for sure.

I know compared to some of the really high end stuff, this pales in comparison, but I love it and it works for me.

It's funny how people perceive things. To some of my normal friends who could care less about audio, they think it's crazy to spend this kind of money, but would not think twice about dropping crazy amounts on clothes, vacations, dinner, starbucks, drinks etc. Those daily $5 starbucks frappachinos add up. Imagine over the course of a year, that's over $1800. On fancy coffee.

Dark Knight on vinyl? Cool.

I would love to hear what a setup like that would sound like vs. a CD. Growing up I came through the age of vinyl to tapes and CD's. The tape era was of course... pretty bad, and while I got to listen to some records, the equipment was decidedly low-end. Never really got to experiment or hear it, basically.

Hi,

Quote "I know compared to some of the really high end stuff, this pales in comparison, but I love it and it works for me."

Looks high end to me. (Esp the playstation in the 3rd and 4th pic.) I guess I factor in value and looks like high value. Stuff that's high end only because of the high end price really doesn't work for me.

Where's the Dark Side? My local Newbury has some copies, need me to pick one up for you... did you just forget to take a picture of it?

I'm sometimes tempted to get into records,... if only buying Blu Rays wasn't so much fun... My step dad just sold hundreds of 45's for $20. The last place he lived had a juke box and the people left several boxes of singles. I gave all my records to my step dad years ago but had a lot of Kiss and Pink Floyd.

Oh, I have a lot of LP's, maybe 500 now, including Dark Side of the moon. The ones in the pictures above are just what i've bought in the last 2 weeks.

Here's some more pics of other lp's I have.

Really like your blues selection. Duffy? Heh, just heard some of her stuff a couple weeks back. It's got that great 50's sound to it, which seems like it falls right in line with most of your music tastes.

Yeah, Duffy is cool. I took a quick mental survey of what I listen to, and the majority of my library is music from the early 40's to the mid 70's. I wasn't alive, but quality music transcends generations and is timeless.

Very nice set up! I bet you get a lot of pleasure listening to your records on that rig!

Recent unemployment has put my record buying on pause for now, but not for long!

If you really like Brothers in Arms, get yourself a copy of Stan Rickman's 2 x 180g recent remaster. It is fantastic and contains the full length versions of all tracks.

Yeah, it's fantastic. I listened to it on a friends rig, but don't have it myself. I do have the SACD version which I enjoy greatly.

Very nice setup my man! I'm truly envious as I love my vinyl as much as you seem to do. I'm looking for a new setup myself at some point in 2009 and VPI is a brand I am definately considering.

I've picked up a bunch a new vinyl myself in the last few months and today came across a 180-gram re-release of T.Rex - Electric Warrior. I naturally bought it! LOL!
