When people report on the Nielson Videoscan numbers, they always note that Wal-mart's numbers are not reported. Of the Walmart's I've been in, I only see a few titles in the PS3 section. Just Friday, they only had two, which were leaning up against a PS3 and you couldn't even see their title without bending down and tilting your head.
This begs me to ask, who here has been to a Walmart which has a shelf-system of BDs? I know they also sell them online, but I'm wondering if anyone sees them shelved like they are at BBuy and other places of that ilk. |

The Wal-Mart here has a ton of titles, but they are in a glass case low to the ground. I found some there i couldnt find anywhere else. I try not to shop at wal-mart, i dont like how they run their stores. Thats a whole different issue though.

My wal-mart has an endrack for Blu-ray and HD-DUD. BD has 3 rows of movies, which are very low in stock from purchases, and HD-DVD has 1 and a have rows, which decreased from 3 rows =p. PSP movies sit on the other 1 and a half.
^^and for the poster above. i work at wal-mart, and yes, it is run like s***. i wouldn't shop there myself either. |

I'm right there with you, I only go to Wal-Mart when all else has failed. I have unfortunately worked for that evil company, at one point in my life. |

The only Blu movies Walmart had were behind a locked glass door. They were returns from people who bought a bundled PS3. I complained to the manager they didn't have any Blu movies and never went back.
I have been getting my movies for an average of 16 dollars including shipping. Who needs Walmart? |

The Walmart I go to has a pretty decent selection of BD's. They are on a regular shelf right next to the DVD new releases, and they even have a cardboard Blu-ray logo sitting on top of the shelf. They started out slow, but it's been getting better each week. I go there first now before I look for something at BB or Suncoast as they tend to be a few dollars cheaper.
HD-DVD is mixed in with the Blu-ray titles, but they only had about 5 HD-DVD titles when I was over there yesterday hoping to find Enter the Dragon out early. They have around 40 Blu-ray titles, and it's mostly the titles that are more recently released. It seems like they are stocking all the new releases but not ordering any of the past releases. |

Walmart tends to have a lot of titles in the major cities of the GTA. However, I noticed that Walmart raised a few of their prices for the WB titles. Most were at 22.99 - 23.99 now they are about 27.99 - 29.99 for the same titles. Eg Goodfellas is $23.99 at BB and at Walmart it is for $27.99.
Another thing that I hate about Walmart is the inconsistancy of the different stores. Some Walmarts display their BD's in a locked glass case, and others have them on a shittly endcap that you get your hands stuck in trying to sif through the titles. Bought the Blu glory out on proper display you blu vested *****es |

My Wal-mart has about 5 rows of movies plus an extra half shelf for the newer ones (Same with HD-DVD). Not too many people around my area by them so they only stock like 2 or 3. Sometimes only one. I like it though because it is way cheaper then any other store out there by far. Wouldn't shop anywhere else. This Wal-mart was really sad with movies lying all over but since I came in and kept buying and talking about them, they made room on a couple of shelves for both blu-ray and HD-DVD. Maybe just talk to the employees and they'll make room. Be nice though!

I have 2 Walmarts within 20 minutes drive and they both stock a substantial amount of Blu movies. I like Best Buy prices better but when you can't find a title at Best Buy because they vanish quickly , its off to Wally. I had to get my copy of The Departed there. I've gotten a few titles from Amazon but like to go shopping and check out everything
