This *almost* doesn't surprise me. Think of the target audience for Mamma Mia! vs. The Dark Knight. Those who want to purchase The Dark Knight (younger crowds, most likely) will buy it on the best format they own (Blu-ray). Since Mamma Mia! has a built-in ABBA fan base of baby boomers, who most likely haven't gone Blu yet, you're going to see a ton of people buying it on DVD. Heck, my aunt who is 70 years old has Mamma Mia! on DVD, seen it 8 times, and probably doesn't know what Blu-ray is, let alone The Dark Knight.

I have to say, I was a bit shocked by it. But hey, it is what it is.

I agree.

My "younger side" purchased TDK on Blu to get the best from the disc. My "Older side" along with my wife purchased Mamma because we love ABBA and because my "younger side" has a Blu player, I wanted to hear Mamma the best it could be heard which made my "older side" very happy.

That's right. Anyone who bought Mama Mia and not The Dark Knight would agree as well.

Mame Mia is a nice film and nothing more. TDK rules in my book. However, everyone has different tastes.

I rented the Mamma Mia Blu ray, and well I didn't think it was too great, thought I'm not a big fan of Dark Knight either, but the Mamma Mia blu ray looked very yellow, I didn't like how almost the whole movie had like a tint and stuff, the colors were all messed up it seemed.
