Onkyo TX-SR506S.... - Blu-ray Forum

I really am no audiophile, but planning on upgrading from my SONY HTiB to a better surround system. Current system is a 5.1 - looking to move up to 7.1 with HDMI.

Found the Onkyo TX-SR506S for only $159 on Amazon.

Does anybody have any feedback on this receiver? Worth it at that price, or am I better on spending the extra?

that receiver is passthrough only, meaning no HDMI audio.

Look for the Onkyo 605/606 or higher.

What Crackin says or you can look at the Sony 720 since the PS3 will decode the audio or 920 in case you are using the BDP 350 for movies.
