Is there any way to get SD special features from a BD displayed in their (usually) original 4:3 ratio? Is this part of how all BD players are, or all PS3s are? Could it be caused by using an HDMI to DVI converter cable thingy?

Yeah -- mine shows in 4:3 if something is 4:3. I have a setting on my TV for "dot by dot" so it will force something back into its original format.
I know a lot of older HDTVs wouldn't force it back into its original format (it'd stay in widescreen) but I would think most newer HDs will let you choose what you want the picture to do. |
