Polar Express 3d

i apologize if this has already been discussed...i used the search function and found a bunch of related - albeit vague - 'christmas movie' posts. this is specific and it has to do with this purchase SUCKING.

i love polar express but the 3D version is a gimmick. i dont know if it was just my copy but the glasses were very imbalanced. old school 3d technology - the red was wayyy too dark. felt like i was going crosseyed. and the reds looked like they were bleeding. not a seamless experience for me. i'd like to return it but since its opened...dont believe i can. anyone else have thoughts? did the 3D experience work for you? i'm going to wait til Blu releases the new 3D technology (reminiscent of what i experienced with BOLT in 3D last month....that was epic)...
