yeah it was good, but nothing that special IMO... id rather watch Vertigo or Cassablanca over and over... how does casablanca go from 25-20-15 BTW in 3 years.. kinda weird to me.. but a cool list

True...Citizen Kane is the biggest bore of all time. The "history" of the movie itself is what gives it all of the accolades, and hype. Could not bear to watch it through, and that usually does not happen to me.

Lot of Spielberg hate going on with that list. About half of Hitches films are listed before a Spielberg (Jaws) makes an appearance.

Not a bad list. However, I think "Strike" is greatly underrated at 284.

I also think "The Royal Tenenbaums" is extremely overrated at 872... But, that's just because I really, really, REALLY hated that movie.

Also, I find it odd that there are only 32 movies made in the last 10 years on this list.

It's nice to see Seven Samurai #9. It's a classic in Japan.

Way to go Vertigo!

And yes, Citizen Kane is great, though I can see why some people think it's boring. Anyone who thinks it doesn't deserve to be #1, or anywhere near #1, should have their head checked a bit.

I'll take The Godfather, Roshomon, Casablanca, Sunset Blvd...and many of the ones listed over Citizen Kane anyday...Citizen Kane has fantastic cinematography and cool structure...but what it lacks is the fact that it drags and that's important in a movie.

Nice, Scorsese has 9 films on there, Spielberg has 7. I'll need to start catching up on some old movies!!

I just can't see the affection for Citizen Kane. I saw it a long time ago, so maybe I should give it another go.

There are a lot of my favorite films in the list though.
