Although keep in mind that many titles featured on Empire's list made their stateside debut last year while others have yet to even have made it to our shores, it's still a valid list none-the-less.

gah, im so tired of these best of 08 lists, everyone has like 5 overlapping titles anyways. and 50 most defining? why not name every movie that came out this year if you're already going to do 50, that being half the number of the AFI list's top movies EVER. 10 seems like a more appropriate cap.

note: not at all trying to crap on your thread, J, just the list itself.
