Is there any disadvantage of buying movies for a cheaper price from the other sellers on Amazon? Is it like eBay except you're not bidding?

Its about the same. Like you make sure the seller is reputable on ebay do the same on amazon. You should be fine. I have had great results from my personal experience.

If you have Prime you usually don't get free shipping. Be sure to check their rating, I won't use anyone with less than a 95% unless they have a ton of transactions.

Ive never bought movies from Amazon sellers, but ive purchased enough books from them with no problems.

I buy from them regularly. As mentioned, check their ratings and read the description carefully. I had one problem out of roughly 50 transactions and they rectified it on the spot.

I will echo the previous posts. Check their ratings and go from there.

I have bought many movies and other items from sellers on Amazon. Nay an issue. I usually look for 95% feedback or better and check their recent feedback and judge that as well.

ive bought roughly 20 blus from amazon marketplace, and have had pretty much a great experience overall. amazon will back you 100% if you are wronged (which i have been before), and will make sure to rectify any unpleasant situations with false sellers should they arise. for the most part, and as everyone else here says, check the ratings, send the buyer a question or two if you have one, and start enjoying the savings!!

I've bought a bunch of used out of print books from other sellers on Amazon and never once had a problem. Just read the fine print to see what condition the item is in. With books at least they are very good at detailing any damage.
