Question blu ray player problem...

Hey what's up.. anyway i just purchase a Panasonic DMP-BD35K 1080p Blu-ray Player for my LG 42LG50 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV. Well when i hook up the player via the hdmi ports and turn it on it started to flickering and such. I had My Settings
at
1.hdmi video mode on
2.hdmi resolution-1080p
3.24p output-on
4.hdmi rgb output range-enhance
5.hdmi audio-on (the flickering starts) off-the flickering stops....
I Had Monster hdmi cables hook up to it...When this happen...But when i switch the resouloution to 1080i it would stop and like i said before or when i had hdmi audio out setting to off it also stop flickering. So I Return the monster hdmi cables today and pick up the sony hdmi cables that are 1.a category 2. Has Anybody else had this problem...and when i hook up the sony's it started again with flickering but it dose not do this it when i put on a movie...only like i said when i first turn it on and the blue screen starts when the is no disk in the player...it starts to act up..Can a firmware update solve this problem.
