Stuck seeing 7 pounds....ugh - Blu-ray Forum

I convinced my gf to see slumdog millionaire tommorow with me, and the wrestler when it comes out on the 16th, so now I ahve to sit through 7 punds soon, Can anyone give this movie some credibility becuase all of the opinions that I have heard and trust have said it does not live up to any of the hype and some said it frustrated them, please give me some hope, thanks

Well, at least it is Will Smith in the leading role.

I feel for you. I just watched it last night. It has a really good story, but it takes F'n forever to get to the point. It's just over a 2 hour movie, but it feels like 3. After a certain point you figure out what's going to happen and then you have to wait like an hour to get there.

Again, a great story and some pretty good acting, but was a bit too long for me to ever watch again.

It's worth seeing, just don't set your expectations too high. 7 Pounds has a powerful message, but it seems like they missed the boat with this one.

This one's coming in a week over here. I usually like what Will Smith does so I'll see then I'll decide if it was worth my while.
