Default Ugh, I blame all of you...

Well, I have been reading and looking and I went through with it. An ebay seller was selling some new Polk Monitor 60's priced the same as Amazon's Polk Monitor 50's, and I couldn't refuse. I have some Polks and have listened to them plenty of times in Best Buy and Circuit City. I was actually investigating some Bic Acoustechs when I stumbled across them. Considering they were comparable in price and I personally really like Polk's sound, it seemed the obvious choice....

So, yeah. Money's going to be tight for awhile. It's all of your faults, you bastards. So I must ask you- I'll need to upgrade the center in a few weeks. What say you- CS1 or CS2? I realize the CS2 is bigger, but does it justify the money? Most places I've been to do not unfortunately carry the two centers.

Excited? You bet. A little worried that I spent that much money? That also. Going to be in the doghouse even though the wife said yes to buying new speakers? Definitely.

Of course you're not a sexist. I'm sure some of your best friends are women.

I justify things by saying better this hobby than a gambling drinking problem. Plus its something the whole family get joy from, not just me...

Congratulations!! They say the CS2 is better matched for the Monitor 60s, because the driver is the same size. That said, I own the CS1 paired with Monitor 50s and am very happy with it!!

Thanks.

That being the case then I may go with the CS2. Course that burns into the money I was "saving" with the Polk 60 deal, but oh well. I really want a strong center.

I'll have to try and read some more on it but thought I'd put it out there since I know some folks are using Polks.

Oh, she'll take care of that all on her own, I assure you.

I'll maybe post some pics when I get everything together. I am excited about it. I'll just have to get past the initial griping.

It's always better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission...at least that is what they say.

Hah! No doubt.

Update! My speakers have been delivered! They're sitting at my house now. Can't wait to get home. Go clock go!

My wife says the same thing. She also tells the kids stay away from daddy's stuff. She is still scared to watch Blu's when I am not home thinks she will break something.

I have the Monitor 50's and love them along with a cs1 center. I recently bought a cs2 center on ebay from the polk recertified auction. I hope it matches well with the rest of the system. I am a little worried now that is won't match the fronts. I may have to upgrade them as well!

I will send the op a review once I switch them out.

Just wanted to upgrade. I'm not sure if it will make a difference.

Yeah, but in the end I decided against them as I wasn't sure I liked the Klipsch, and that was the closest I could compare to around here. Jury's still out for me with horns in a small environment. Got a good deal on these, too.

Anyway, funny. She wasn't mad, just a bit surprised to see that the "speaker stands" were 4 ft. tall speakers. I've calibrated them and they sound great, and I haven't even broken them in yet. Listening to some mp3's right now streaming from the upstairs pc, and I'm surprised at the depth.

...lol wait till she sees the center I'm going to order here next month.
