Yes, four pair and they are not the same as The Polar express, different lens.

True.....kinda hard to watch. I enjoyed it at the theater in 3D...but the home experience was pretty bad.

It comes with four pairs of cardboard glasses. You can buy better quality glasses over the internet, but, as mentioned earlier on this thread, Center of the Earth 3-D uses a different color scheme for 3-D and special glasses have to be used (the standard ones will not work properly).

Fortunately, the blu-ray also includes the 2-D version of the film.

The 3-D version of this on Blu was pretty atrocious. The glasses caused the film to alternate between being tinted green and red (mostly green). I thought maybe it was just my eyes' inability to process the effects properly but I've heard this same complaint from others. The 3-D effects themselves were pretty good---certain images leapt right off the screen---but the greenish tint made it almost unwatchable.

I've not watched the 2-D version but heard the PQ is actually quite good.

Yup, 4 Pairs of cardboard glasses, and a really bad experience as far as 3-D goes. same situation for The Polar Express. both are much more enjoyable in 2-D. Except for Journey, since it only has lossy DD 5.1

When I first watched the Blu over my HDTV, my feeling was about the same as those here...but then I played it over my projector -- Holy Moley!!!! The 3D really works there!!! I was really knocked out by it.
