Default Keep My LG or get a sharp?

I have a LG 47in LG50 paid only 1199.00 for it and its only 3 weeks old but now at circuit city they have a 52in Sharp for only 1249.00! Should I return my LG and go with the somewhat bigger sharp stick with my 47inch LG50?

If it has as clear a picture I would. 5 inches is quite a bit of defference. My friend has a 46 and my 52 looks alot bigger.

Heres a link to the Sharp, http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/Searc...ustomerRatings

I like the finish to my LG alot more than the sharp but yah theres a big difference in a 47 and 52. But honestly I have a very small living room my house is only 1100 square feet. i dont want to sit to close because i will be able to see pixels!

That is a bottom of the rung Sharp model and you have the best non-120Hz LG. I say keep the LG unless you really want that extra 5".

Yah I will. I mean it would be nice having a 52in but really a 47in is still huge!

My parents have an LG 42 in, & they love it, but before that they were watching a 20 year old 25in Zenith console, & liked that also.

I purchased a 46" sharp about a month ago and couldn't be happier. The picture is wonderful and has very good blacks and the OPC feature is kinda nice. If you have a big room or really want a bigger tv than do it. But since you already have a nice tv I'd probably stay with the LG

I have the 42 inch version of the LG50and love. My friend has a 52 inch sharp and it does well. I saw the 52 inch 120 hz lg in action and all I can say is OMG. I think that will be my next TV when I upgrade to 120 hz soon.

Sony and Samsung make the best LCD's, imo.

And to answer the OP's question, i'd stick with the LG.

I had a very bad experience with a 42 inch 1080p LG. I will never buy another one.

On the other hand, my father has a 40 inch 1080p Sharp Aquos and that TV's picture is just flat out amazing.

According to Consumer Reports, Sony and Samsung make the best LCD's, but Sharp was right there behind them.

I would pick a Sharp over an LG any day.

LG are definitely not top of the range TVs... neither are Sharp but I personally think their picture is much better.

In 99% of the cases i would likely pick Sharp over LG. In this situation, i would likely hold off however. As stated earlier, the OP has the best non 120hz LG. So really, not much point in trading "up" for the Sharp. Plus, i highly doubt he would be able to return a 3 week old tv without any known defects. Nothing against Sharp LCD's, i actually almost went with an Aquos over my Sammy!!

LG or Sharp? wow that's a tough decision, they're both CRAP! lol no jk. I don't know much about both of them, but I heard there both good for the price you pay. I almost bought an LG, but decided to go with the Panasonic 80u, then I didn't like it as much as I thought I would and returned it and got the LN630 samsung. Best choice ever.
