Default What media is used for broadcasting HDTV content?
Please excuse my ignorance. Yes, we all know that blu-ray is the shizzola when it comes to the home movie experience. But what format is used when it is played back for broadcast TV? Large disc, tape, other?

Is it the same quality as blu-ray? Better? Worse?! With a maximum bit rate of about 20 Mega Pixel, it is hard to tell if OTA TV uses lesser quality for broadcasting.
