Peoples choice awards - Blu-ray Forum

anyone see this last night? i really thought at the end they would have done a bit more about the dark knight... Bale did raise the award and say "here's to heath" or something like that. i just thought they would have done a bit more of a tribute to heath than they did. any thoughts?

It's one of the hundreds of awards shows in January and February. It's chosen by the people (obviously) and it's actually a somewhat big show, with almost all the winners there and televised on CBS. The winners know in advance they won so they're more likely to show.

I loved it for the first 3 seasons, but the formula got tired for me...but I still watch it if its on and nothing is on my channels.

no. it got best drama. the people's choice awards are stupid. kate hudson got an award best actress for my best friend's girl. seriously this show is voted on by the people. the dark knight got five awards last night all at the same time. two categories sounded made up too. the whole thing is dumb. this is why people shouldn't be allowed to vote for the oscars. a movie like meet the spartans could actually get a best picture nomination. oh and paris hilton was at the awards. not to mention britney was nominated in an acting category. the people's choice awards needs to be tarred and feathered.

Crim, Nick has the Kids choice awards. I know Blockbuster has awards, not sure if this is the same. There are so many awards and shows, it is hard to keep track of.

Dont tell that to TheForce8686, he believes the people should vote on the oscars because the films that get voted "no one sees so how can it be so good?"

I mean if WE voted on Oscars I bet Zohan would get nominated for best comedy..

I am fine with Pineapple, never saw Role Models and HATED TT...and I know I would hate Zohan and Love Guru so there is no need for me to waste the time lol.

yup, the next awards show is on tonight , The Critics Choice Awards. also, was i the one who thought that Cristian Bale looked like he was annoyed by just having to be there?

Nick's last one was really bad... everyone just showed up to promote their movies and it was REALLY obvious. Miley performed but otherwise lame.

So People's Choice pretty much just gave TDK more awards? I have no interest in seeing that. Talk about beating a dead horse x.x.

and awards i think they made up just so they can give the dark knight more awards. what was even worse was before commercial break they'd say stay tuned to see just how many awards the dark knight will get. it was the final awards thing. it really felt and looked stupid. one of the best movies put out last year, but also easily the most overrated. the hype really can kill this movie.
