Sony BD S350 plays Audio DVD?? - Blu-ray Forum

I seem to recall reading somewhere,right before I bought this player,that it would NOT play DVD Audio disks. After I had it set up for a few days,(and installing the latest firmware upgrade) I decided to check this out.
I put in my Beatles "LOVE" DVD Audio disc,and "voila" it read and played it without a hitch. Could it be that the firmware upgrade added this capability?
(BTW,the player recognized the disc as "DVD Video")

And that's what got played, the DVD Video portion of the disc. DVD-Video is standard DVD and the best audio you'll get is lossy multichannel or stereo PCM. The high-res DVD-Audio portion cannot be played on your S350. Love has both DVD-Video and DVD-Audio so that it can be played on standard equipment.
