Default Bu-Ray region question...

So I am a US guy living in the UK for a couple of years. I know that UK Blu's are mostly Region B, so won't play on my US PS3. However, I did note that quite a few Blu's are A,B,C...so would work.

However - there are a lot of Blu's that don't have any region code listed...what does that mean? Good example is Dark Knight - I can't find a code listed on there, so does that mean region free?

Amazon isn't much help as it lists it as region 2, like it is a DVD or something...

Still cheaper for me to buy most titles from US Amazon and have them shipped to my US mailbox, but some titles are either close in price, have cooler cover artwork, or aren't in the US yet.
