Hello. My name is Purplegrasshopper, and I'm an American Idol (AI) fan. Been watching it since the first season. After years of derision and ridicule from friends and family, I was relegated to conceal my fanboyism. Between seasons, I troll the AI forums to get my fix. I can only hope that one day the show will be cancelled so I can free myself of the addiction.

Wife and I watch it also....best time to watch is right now at the beginning so you can enjoy all the terrible voice having waste of life freaks, geeks, nerds, and walleyed overweight no i.q. having morons that crawl from the woodwork hanging all of their hopes and dreams on this one chance at stardom. HAHAHA!

Seriously though, the show rocks.....some of these people are insane though.

+1 i love watching the auditions to see what kind of freaks show up and make asses of themselves for their 15 min of fame

but then i usually watch the last few episodes just to see the winner and if theyre any good, then make my prediction as to how long until they are forgotten and never heard from again

watched it for one season i think it was 2 or 3 years ago. Never watched it again, no specific reason though

When the wife and the kids have the remote control you have to reason but to watch it...so i must admit I have seen all the season from the beginning to the end...
