so with a few of my high def mkv files that are coded with DTS audio, throughout the movie the audio will completely drop. The only way to get it working again is to flip to another audio source on the receiver and then back again. It's almost like the receiver suddenly stops seeing the audio source. I never have this problem when watching a blu-ray with DTS, only the MKV files. I've tried it on two files so far with the same results. Any other MKV works fine, it's just the DTS ones that cause the problem. I am running audio to my receiver through an RCA Coaxial cable. Maybe there lies the problem? Audio is set to SPDIF, and runs through AC3 when I watch movies with my HTPC. Coaxial is the only option I have when running audio out, video is DVI to HDMI via adaptor, so that isn't an option either. Any thoughts?...anyone else have similar issues?
