Default I hate HD-DVD

Well not a thread with a lot of content, but hat to post it, because of my disappointment.

The Prestige
In the US, you get a nice 24mbit AVC version with 24-bit 48kHz loss-less PCM from Buena Vista. I was excited and was REALLY looking forward to hearing this

But oohh no...... In Europe "Warner" is the distributor, so the movie is also released on HD-DVD. HD-DVD can't handle the above specs neither in storage capacity or bit-rate.

So the movie gets a nice DD 5.1 (640kbps) soundtrack, ALSO on Blu-ray.

Thank you HD-DVD and Warner

Let's kill that format, once and for all, so we have only ONE FORMAT left that has the specs for a proper HD experience. Good hunting!

By the way the blu-ray version of The Departed that we get, only includes a DD 5,1 track, and not the PCM track as the US version (also from Warner).

Thanks again Warner

Go to the HD Rand thread guys.
We don't want this to become an anti-HD DVD place.
