PS3 Game Reviews? - Blu-ray Forum

I was wondering if we would get a (or a couple) dedicated PS3 game reviewer(s) on this site, since the PS3 games are on Blu-ray discs. Also could we get games collections added in somewhere as well. Or is this not viewed as a good idea.

I tried to search, sorry if this has been posted before.

I would love to have them add ps3 games to the my collection (and i know they are working on it) but
I don't think they need to add reviews here for games , if they do i'll gladly read them but I don't want this website to stray to much from their original plan (blu-ray) and become too big and the quality suffers.

We all know more than enough websites that do reviews. Sure granted some might be "biased" but it's fine. Most of us takes reviews with a grain of salt anyways.

Agree that there are plenty of sites, but to get a review from someone we know here like Maxpower, or Shin-ra, in my opinion would be awesome as you kind of know the persons likes/dislikes of the person giving the reviews.

There is already an active thread about this where other members can't go, not even Toxa!

I have brought it up, as has Shin-Ra in the past, I hope we can sort something out soon, but the final decision lies with the owner.

Let me know if you need any help as I play a lot of PS3 games and like to write reviews for games.

I knew people here would offer to help out. I myself would volunteer as well as I play alot of games and could write reviews for them.

Cool, I called it. I hope it does go through, I think it would be a great addition to this site, espicailly with games like Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, etc coming out that really utilize Blu-ray and the PS3s power.

Well you two always seem to be the first ones to have your hands on video games, so that seems to be perfect!

Perhaps you could include someone from the US that may get releases before the UK, for example the US saw LittleBigPlanet a lot quicker than UK did?

Good idea. I always read the consumer reviews for movies on this site, it would be good to have an organized and cohesive area for people to give feedback on games.

Three reasons I give are:
1) The ps3 will be gone by end of 2008. It's 100% true, the internetz created by Al Gore would never lie to me.
2) Games!? This is news to me, I bought mine for the grill. These grilled cheese taste good.
3) I love reading the 1000th thread about how your ps3 doesn't work thread. Why start ruining the section with positive mumbo jumbo.

I just hope we get some second opinions.. I always like that, you would have one reviewer who is a normal person, and one person who either has deeper knolwedge of the francise or a deeper understanding.

A normal person can never review a game based on its accuracy to itself, honest represenation of the universe it is part of.

I have seen countless reviews knock games for in universe stuff.. like one game because it had energy swords that the reviewer thought was ridciious but it was based on a tv show and they had energy swords..

Excellent idea, I would love to pitch in and do my part for the community and do unbias reviews for games, Since I bought my Ps3 (which was not too long ago). I buy a new one at least once a week and rent many others, I also own all 3 consoles and have no favorite, so reviewing would be easy.
