At The Edge of Death - Food Poisoning NOT FUN! - Blu-ray Forum

Yesterday I went to do some errands and while I was out, I grabbed some lunch with my mom at Burger King. Suffice to say, last night at around 7pm EST my stomach started feeling like someone punched it several times. I tried making myself burp to see if that helped but it did not. The pain continued to get worse.

So a few hours later at around 9pm, the inevitable happened. I began a throw up session that lasted until 3:30 am the next day. Chills enveloped my body and I got under many blankets to make myself warm. As the "session" continued, my body was ridding itself of whatever it was that was making me this way. Near the end, my chills started to go away and I was back to my normal temperature.

My throat is sore as all hell, I can barely talk, I have a headache and I feel like I have been thrown under a bus and left for dead. I would not wish this on ANYONE! Last night/this morning was one of my worst times ever.

I ate nothing else that day - nada. My mom also went through the same thing. Which leads me to believe we got food poisoning. I will be giving Burger King HQ a call and will also be calling the local health department. I don't want ANYONE to have to go through that. Ever.

Same thing happened to me about 6 years ago from eating at a red lobster on vacation. I was sick like you for about a week of throwing up off on and on, i was down to about 135lbs at 6'1" inches tall

so i was like a scarecrow after it was over. I vowed to never eat at red lobster again after that.

Ooooooo, bad memories. My only case of food poisoning (that I know of) was from eating a lobster dinner at Red Lobster as a young kid back in the 70's. I was sick as a dog and could not even think about lobster again for many years.

I got food poisoning in 1999 at the University of Minnesota wrestling camp. Apparently the school we were staying at had an undercooked batch of burgers and everyone who ate them got food poisoning, in total 35 out of 200 campers. It's an odd site going to throw up at 3:00 am and having to wait because all the stalls are filled with other people throwing up. Just to add to the fun it was my 17th birthday and I got to spend it in the hospital.

Wow I usually get food poisioning from taco bell.. in which my bowel movements become green until the extra bacteria is removed from the GI tract and the thowing up stops...

Burger king no.. I fear thats the one of the few places still safe for me...

Never had Burger King food poisoning but Chinese Food..now thats a different story, had awhile back and I puke on both ends till there was nothing left to come out anymore.

Did you happen to be in major pain in the middle of your chest area while this was all happening, like bent over OMG OMG pain (no I am not thinking heart issue)?
