To the OP: I do not want to discourage you from posting but there is forum here for Games/Game consoles. You may find more people interested in this there.

^^^ The link has two interesting pieces of info that people here will be interested in:

More than 36,000 PS3’s sold in Australia

Quote:
The figures for the PS3 are looking pretty good, the Nintendo Wii is at 80,000 and the Xbox 360 is at 160,000. But both of these consoles had come out long before the PS3 arrived on the scene.

Sony has already sold more than 36,000 of its PS3 consoles despite the $1000 price tag, and 35 per cent of those buyers have connected the units to the internet.
And:

France Console Sales Revealed

Quote:
Sales hardware in France (1st quarter 2007)

1. DS : 260000
2. Wii : 144000
3. PS2 : 92000
4. PSP : 90000
5. PS3 : 81000
6. Xbox 360 : 43000
So, despite all the "French hate the PS/3" stuff, it sold 81K units in a week (PS/3 was released in the last week of Q1), compared to only 43K units of the Xbox 360 in the entire quarter!
